Android Jelly Bean 4.3 has been rolling out for
the HTC One globally but users in the United
Kingdom haven’t yet seen it on their units. HTC
UK has addressed the issue on its official UK
Twitter account saying HTC expects to “release
Jelly Bean 4.3 update in the UK in 3-5 weeks”.
There’s no word why the delay but logic points
to optimizations specific to UK carriers. However
the release, if the 3-5 weeks turn out correct,
would most likely put the 4.3 update after
Google has taken the wraps off Android 4.4
KitKat, causing some rain on the UK HTC One
parade.
Outside of the UK, T-Mobile USA users should
receive the 4.3 update for their HTC Ones today,
which leaves only the Verizon One behind.
We’ve heard and seen reports from all over the
world of users receiving their update several
weeks ago. But these rollouts usually take quite
some time due to the huge number of regional
versions available.
